Since childhood, Wanda Tomczykowska, my mother, took me on various trips around Boston, New York, Miami, and then through the USA to San Francisco. The favorite Polish song was always sung: „They’re going, they’re going, dear children how beautiful this world is!” And so it is. I have already visited over 40 countries, I have described these various journeys in local newspapers and monthly magazines, and my passion for photography has gained more energy. Exhibitions in galleries in the United States and Poland were received with great success and were good opportunities to show others this beautiful world! A diploma in history confirms my interest in what once was, created our reality, and what may be in the future. The fact that I live in such a beautiful state as California encourages others to visit our west coast, at least for a little while. There is a lot of variety here. I am glad that I can share my knowledge, passion for beauty and at the same time answer interesting questions from my wonderful guests. I invite you all!

Having completed these studies, she decided to continue her academic education at the University of Agriculture in Krakow. Her work there focuses on the intersection of diet, nutrition and health. Since the beginning of her professional career, she has been dedicated to the prevention of osteoporosis – a global „silent epidemic”. She is particularly interested in the potential of functional foods to support health. This focus has been consistently reflected in her doctoral thesis (defended in 2004), subsequent research projects, and her scientific achievement for postdoctoral degree (habilitation) in 2019.

She was a long-standing member of the Faculty Quality Assurance Commission and later served as the Rector’s Representative for Education Quality. She also chaired the Rector’s Committee for the Ethics of Research Involving Human Participants.

She is a member of the Editorial Board of Food Science & Nutrition, as well as a member of the Polish Society of Food Technologists and the Polish Society of Osteoarthrology (currently known as the Forum on Osteoporosis and Aging). She is also involved in the Polish Portal of Osteoporosis.

Kinga Topolska combines scientific research with a strong commitment to education. She is an enthusiast of evidence-based nutrition education and actively participates in multiple initiatives for various age groups – from children to seniors.
