Senior representatives of the Polish Government conducted high-level discussions with leading Silicon Valley corporations and financial investors on the potential for employing Polish science and technology in their firms’ strategic growth efforts. The Polish Delegation was comprised of Prof. Michal Sewerynski, Secretary of the Ministry of Science and High Education of the Republic of Poland, his Undersecretary, Prof. Krzysztof Kurzydlowski, and Mr. Marcin Korolec, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Economy. The US-Polish Trade Council arranged and guided the Polish Delegation’s meetings with executives of such industrial icons as Intel, Cisco, Genentech, HP and Google, with partners in several prominent venture capital firms and with officials at Stanford University. As a result of this visit by these senior Polish officials, USPTC has been engaged in numerous follow-on meetings in Silicon Valley and Poland to further solidify the commitment of all parties towards closer scientific and economic ties.
